Successful content management needs business culture shift
Monday 7th September 2009
Companies interested in outsourcing their IT operation to a third party managed hosting service provider should consider how their business will have to adopt in the long-term, it has been claimed.
According to Daragh O'Brien, director of publicity and recruitment at the International Association for Information and Data Quality, the use of a content management system will require more data to be moved around a company's network, whether it is hosted internally or by an outside web hosting service.
He said: "The goal should be to embed a quality approach to the management of information that is not a project but the way things get done."
Mr O'Brien claimed that companies should remove redundant data from their systems and ensure that content is managed in an effective way.
According to PC Quest, the use of a third party web host can save businesses money as well as providing them with access to the very latest and most secure technology in the marketplace.
