Date: Tuesday 10th November 2009

A UK-based
web hosting provider proved unable to restore its customers' email facilities, a week after first experiencing a storage array failure, it has been reported.
The Register revealed how UK2.net users faced an anxious wait to get their messages back, while the firm's live support service remained offline.
Customers were reportedly struggling to send messages out, causing difficulties for those committed to
email marketing campaigns.
UK2.net informed its users via a statement that copies of all old emails have been kept and would be copied across to a new storage network.
"We are restoring email for all our customers as quickly as we can so we are unable to single out your emails to restore," the firm said.
Global Gold's Tim Dunton claimed that reliability is a crucial aspect service, noting that
web hosting customers tend to "get what they pay for".
He added: "If email is critical to your business and it is to the vast majority, you simply can't leave that to chance or price."
