SEO tips 'to stay on top in 2009'
Date: Monday 29th December 2008

It is competitive for companies with websites to optimise their search engine results but one industry expert has suggested ways to stay on top.
David Berkowitz, director of emerging and client strategy for 360i, explains in his blog on Media Post what 2009 has in store for internet marketing.
He says it is important for online marketers to take into account the growing popularity of sites such as YouTube for searching material.
Mr Berkowitz discusses how making sure people take full advantage of all the tools the web has to offer will help too.
"Marketers have to shift their mindset from optimising their web site to optimising their web presence," he said.
This means ensuring material for a business or product are on blogs, social networks, photo sharing sites and Wikipedia as these often rank well in search engines.
Finally, he adds that devices such as iPhones are changing the way people access the web.
People using
wordpress hosting or joomia hosting should think about how their content will look on handheld gadgets.
The Cloud, an independent provider of wireless broadband, announced earlier this month that laptops are outselling desktop computers and people now expect to log on wherever they are.
