Monday 'the most popular day for email marketing'

Monday is likely to remain the most popular day on which to send
email marketing messages, it is claimed.
Analysis carried out by the Retail Email Blog finds
email marketing activity rose considerably this month.
It shows the week ending November 21st saw 19 per cent more retail emails than four weeks earlier.
"Monday was the most popular day to send retail emails last week. It's very likely that Monday will be the most popular day of the week to send emails until the end of the year," the company asserts.
Among such marketing emails, more than half already reference Christmas, it adds.
The Internet Advertising Bureau says the benefits of
email marketing include wide reach, speed and cost effectiveness.
It notes that not having to pay for print or postage means marketing campaigns can be achieved for a fraction of the cost of other tactics, adding that messages can be quickly put together.
