Innovative marketing 'vital during recession'
Date: Wednesday 23rd September 2009

Businesses in the east of England are set to expand their techniques in the coming months, research has found.
A study carried out by Further Search Marketing and the Chartered Institute of Marketing in the East of England found that 55 per cent of businesses in the region have altered their service offering as a result of the recession, reports the East Anglian Daily News.
The research also found that businesses are to use new marketing techniques in the near future.
Some 27 per cent said they would integrate social media into their
email marketing campaigns as they look to boost their business, while 55 per cent said they agreed that "those who invest in marketing through a recession" will be "best placed" when it ends.
Steve Jaggard, co-founder of Further Search Marketing, told the newspaper: "More companies in the east are realising the importance of innovative marketing methods to boost business at this difficult time."
The Bolton News recently claimed that businesses wanting an effective
email marketing campaign need to be committed to the investment.
