Google gambling move 'could be good for online marketers'
Date: Friday 16th January 2009

Recent moves by Google to relax its advertising rules could be good news for some seeking
reliable web hosting, it has been suggested.
According to a spokesman for the Remote Gambling Agency (RGA), a group representing members of the online betting industry, businesses could benefit from the changes as they now have more marketing options available.
Brian Wright, business director at the RGA, said that whether companies use
email marketing, Google Adwords or any other advertising it has always been a priority for those in the sector to act responsibly.
"As an industry, we've always welcomed the opportunity to regulate responsibly and [Google's policy change] is an encouraging step indeed," he said.
The news could be beneficial to those looking to maximise their online betting business by adding Adwords to their
email marketing strategies.
Earlier this week, Google issued a statement outlining the details of the policy change, which states firms marketers registered with the Gambling Commission can operate targeted advertising in the UK.
