Email marketing awareness 'growing'

Monday 26th October 2009

Most firms are now aware of the benefits of email marketing, it has been suggested.

Writing for DMNews.com, Douglas Quenqua said that extending the reach of email messages is "an intriguing idea" to nearly all marketers these days.

He claimed that email marketing remains "on a significant upswing as" firms seek to do more with less – fully appreciative of the low costs involved with promoting their firms through this medium.

Mr Quenqua told the website: "It's an affordable, highly targeted channel with almost no start-up costs, and it hits consumers where they spend most of their time online: right in the inbox."

Last month, SME Web reported that successful email marketing campaigns can put small firms on a par with much larger rivals.

The website described the channel as "a great leveller", as it is available to all companies to use.
