Britain's Got Talent 'should have registered Boyle domains'

Monday 20th April 2009

Producers at Britain's Got Talent should have moved quickly to register domain names relating to Susan Boyle, the charity worker who gained overnight success following a performance on the show.

This is according to Andrew Allemann of Domain Name Wire, who said that while Ms Boyle herself should probably not be expected to consider domain names, the programme's producers should have acted on her behalf.

He noted that SusanBoyle.co.uk, SusanBoyle.me.uk and SusanBoyle.org.uk do not belong to either Ms Boyle or Britain's Got Talent.

"I doubt it was on top of their mind given that they don't even own BritainsGotTalent.com - the producers do own the British .co.uk version," Mr Allemann remarked.

According to recent figures from Visible Measures, over 47.7 million views were made of online videos relating to Ms Boyle's performance on Britain's Got Talent in the space of a few days after the show was aired on ITV.
