Managed web hosting 'overcomes dedicated server weakness'
Date: Wednesday 26th November 2008
Managed
web hosting overcomes some of the weaknesses inherent in dedicated servers, it is claimed.
A commentator writing for the
Web Hosting Solution Blog asserts that there has been an increase in demand for managed
web hosting deals.
Many consumers want greater levels of service than are provided by dedicated
web hosting services, such as a provider monitoring security and managing databases, the commentator continues.
Furthermore, there is more scope for growth with a managed
web hosting provider, the blog states.
"The websites' functionality and expansion options are tremendous since using a managed server improves flexibility," they add.
Earlier this year, information provider
Web Hosting Reviews acknowledged that many firms are keen to keep their services in-house.
However, a spokesperson suggested that this can sometimes become both costly and risky, meaning a high number of firms will be better off outsourcing to a managed server.
