In-house web hosting costs time and money

Building a
dedicated server or opting for in-house
web hosting requires a significant IT budget as well as plenty of time and expertise, it has been claimed.
According to industry expert PC Quest, the trouble of keeping data on-site does not end there, as once the system is up and running there will be considerable maintenance costs, and a firm will have to dedicate resources to maintaining both physical and network security.
The news provider claims that any company whose core business is not related to IT would constantly be spending time and money on maintaining a dedicated hosting system.
"By outsourcing data centres, enterprises not only save on costs but can easily gain access to latest devices and some of the latest technologies," the website states.
"These are some of the reasons why managed data centre services has become a hot trend over the past couple of years," it adds.
Meanwhile, managed hosting providers are still being driven by performance issues to ensure their customers receive
reliable web hosting and
shared hosting, according to new research sponsored by Brockade and Eaton.
