Dedicated hosting 'ideal for running multiple sites'

An expert has claimed that dedicated servers should be used by businesses that run multiple websites.
Carrie Hill, director of search strategies at US firm Blizzard Internet Marketing, has claimed that such servers should be considered for sites that are currently linked together and on shared hosting.
Writing for Search Engine Watch, she explained that the traceability of shared servers means Google may limit the results it offers from each website.
Discussing an example about one firm running five sites, she wrote: "Just putting each site on its own dedicated hosting set up sent the newer site from page five to bottom of page one in about three months.
"If you must interlink your sites, and you want to continue to do so, make sure you arrange your hosting correctly."
Recent research by Business Insights suggested that firms looking to boost their efficiency should consider virtual private servers.
