WordPress among most reliable blogging platforms

WordPress hosting may be interested to read that the platform has been named as one of the most reliable blog services currently available.
According to Pingdom, WordPress offers 99.99 per cent uptime, with just 20 minutes of downtime over a four-month period, making it the third most dependable blog platform behind Typepad and Blogger.
This is compared with fourth-placed Windows Live Spaces, which had an uptime of 99.86 per cent and downtime of four hours and ten minutes between November 2008 and March 2009.
"Judging by the results of this survey, the larger, more established blogging services have been able to leverage their resources to provide very stable platforms for their users," Pingdom said in a blog post.
It gave the example of WordPress having servers in three different data centres.
Earlier this year, Pingdom revealed that WordPress is the most used platform by the top 100 blogs on Technorati.
