Valuable blog info 'should be backed up'
Date: Monday 15th December 2008
Firms who operate blogs on their websites through services such as
Wordpress hosting should be taking extra steps to ensure their information is backed up, it is advised.
A simple and non-technical process can help online writers do this, says Brent Ramey, co-owner of Bloggled.
He explains: "As we spend more time online, for business and for our personal life, there's a lot of valuable information about us online that's not backed up."
Activities such as updating blogs through
Wordpress hosting represent who we are, so they should be protected to ensure information is not lost, Mr Ramey adds.
Wordpress hosting is now better than ever before, it was claimed last week.
Reviewing the blogging facility, Gary Marshall said it can cope with anything, is easy to use and flexible.
His Tech Radar article also stated that because it is customisable, users can remove parts they do not use and reorganise ones they do.
