Stamps.com signs Magento shipping agreement
Friday 20th August 2010
Postage provider Stamps.com has become the latest business to adopt Magento hosting and its associated business benefits.
The US-based company, which offers shipping services to around 400,000 customers, has signed a partnership agreement with the e-commerce platform provider.
Under the terms of the deal, Magento merchants are able to batch print up to 1,000 pre-paid US postal service shipping labels for any mail class.
Stamps.com will also be able to automatically post order status details such as tracking numbers, shipping dates and mail class back to the vendors' databases.
Roy Rubin, chief executive of Magento, said the platform's users are "eager to use cutting-edge tools" to gain a competitive advantage.
"Efficiently processing and shipping orders is a huge part of what makes an online retailer successful, which is why we are so pleased to offer this integration and partnership with Stamps.com," he stated.
Earlier this summer, new Magento hosting options were created by the launch of a platform designed specifically for mobile device users.
