SEO guide for WordPress blogs launched

An online marketing firm has launched a new whitepaper offering guidance on how those making use of WordPress hosting can best optimise their blogs for search engines.

Blizzard Internet Marketing's publication, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) for WordPress Blogs - A Non-Techie's Guide, goes through the process of ensuring WordPress sites are search engine-friendly from start to finish.

It covers areas such as choosing the right theme, the best server to install WordPress on, keywords, linking, blog promotion and using SEO plug-ins built specifically for WordPress.

Trent Blizzard, president of Blizzard Internet Marketing, said that the new guide "fills an important need" among those making use of WordPress hosting for online marketing purposes, especially as the use of blogs for promotional purposes is continuing to grow.

The launch comes shortly after web specialist Joost de Valk launched a similar SEO guide for those using open source e-commerce platform Magento, which also explores areas such as plug-ins and templates.
