New WordPress plug-in offers multilingual features
Date: Thursday 30th April 2009

OnTheGoSystems has launched a new WordPress plug-in that lets users transform the blog service into a content management system for multilingual websites.
The WPML plug-in enables users to build a full-featured site in different languages without requiring additional configuration, according to Chelsi Nakano of CMSWire.
WordPress hosting users can build a multilingual site that includes top navigation menus with drop down capabilities, breadcrumb trails and context-sensitive sidebar navigation using WPML, she noted.
Webmasters can select the languages they want on their site, with every page, post category and tag including a separate section for translations.
Ms Nakano said: "Language and translation is certainly a beast of an issue and accordingly, globalisation innovations are becoming more and more necessary."
OnTheGoSystems recently announced that it will shortly be adding professional translation capabilities to the WPML plug-in.
The new feature will let WordPress bloggers send content to ICanLocalize for professional and human translation.
