Joomla hosting rising in popularity

Joomla hosting is constantly growing in popularity, it has been claimed.

The website content management system enables businesses using a web hosting provider to create "attractive" and "quality" websites, says BestJoomlaDesign.com.

According to the firm, the system allows users to choose and support any number of designs – such as those appropriate for business, education, entertainment, personal, photography and sport themes, plus various others.

Using a Joomla hosting provider can also enable businesses to support poll and forum hosting, content management systems and much more on their websites, it is claimed.

Earlier this year, Joomla development coordinator Andrew Eddie told iTWire that adoption rates of the content management system will rise when the profile of open source increases.

He suggested that firms in the public sector especially are recognising the various benefits of Joomla hosting for their websites, meaning customer numbers will increase.

Mr Eddie suggested that larger market players have deemed the software to be a competitive threat to their operations.
