Clothing retailer Thomas Dean embraces Magento hosting
Date: Tuesday 9th February 2010
Men's clothing wholesaler Thomas Dean has launched a new online store using the Magento ecommerce platform, it has been reported.
The newly-established firm, which previously lacked a direct-to-consumer channel, will now sell its own garments via the internet as well as to existing high street retailers.
Launched last year, Thomas Dean aims to provide men's clothing which "blends European style and quality with the American Spirit".
By using Magento to create a transactional website, the firm will now be able to target consumers in both markets.
The ecommerce programme has been integrated with the company's existing inventory, order and accounting management solutions.
Roy Rubin, chief executive of Varien, recently reported that
Magento hosting has been adopted by 1.5 million users around the world since its launch in 2008.
