Blogging on the rise among businesses
Date: Tuesday 24th March 2009

New research has revealed that a significant proportion of marketers now use blogs as part of their online campaigns.
The survey by social media marketer Michael Stelzner polled 880 marketing professionals about their work with blogs and social networks.
It found 88 per cent of respondents were running social media campaigns, with Twitter, blogs, LinkedIn and Facebook being the most used tools.
Blogs were also found to be the third most popular tool for those just getting started with social media marketing.
Almost nine in ten of those who spend more than 20 hours a week with social media said that they used blogs.
"It seems that many marketers see the social media frontier as the next marketing gold rush," Mr Stelzner commented.
Those making use of
WordPress hosting as part of their blogging efforts were recently advised by editor of Search Engine Journal Loren Baker to submit their WordPress websites to directories specialising in blogs to promote their online journals.
