Blogging 'is not a waste of time'
Date: Thursday 9th July 2009
An expert has claimed that businesses should not regard blogging through hosting sites such as WordPress as a waste of time.
Despite figures from Write My Site revealing that over 70 per cent of small firms do not have time to keep their blogs up-to-date, Chris Lake, editor-in-chief at Econsultancy, has claimed such findings suggest firms are taking a short-term view of the platforms.
He explained that with the right planning and strategy in place, as well as the correct resources, companies can make the sites work for them.
"There are few quick wins available these days on the search engines. Blogs can be amazing for securing high results in Google, but only if you understand what makes Google tick," he explained.
"It's a long-term game that will reward you massively if you get it right."
