Set up email in Mozilla Thunderbird

1. Once downloaded and installed open thunderbird up.

2. Then click tools - account settings



3. Then click Add Account, this opens the new account wizard.



4. Choose email account and click next.



5. Then enter in your name and email address and click next.



6. Choose the server type as POP or IMAP, Then enter in the Incoming mail server name "mail.globalgold.co.uk" and click next.



7. Next you will need to enter your email username and click next.



8. You are then asked for the account name, you can type mail.globalgold.co.uk and click next.



9. Review your new settings and once happy click Finish to complete the set-up.



10. Your new account has now been set up, and the properties are displayed below it.



11. Now you will need to go to outgoing server and click to edit the mail.globalgold.co.uk server settings.



12. Tick use name and password, enter in your username and leave the secure conection as no. Then click ok. (note if using BT internet, Orange or Wanadoo you will need to change the port here from 25 to 587 and say ok)



13. Your account is now set up, click ok to close the set up and then click Get mail, you will then be asked for your password - enter it in, tick use the password manager and say ok. Your account is now ready to send and recieve email.
