Network & Datacentre Maintenance - 18 and February between 08:00 and 17:00

The facility operator has announced a UPS maintenance window at Sovereign House which will take place between 08:00 and 17:00 on 18-19 February. On each day, one UPS system is being taken down for service. During this time, the redundancy of power feeds is reduced. This should not affect your service, but as with all maintenance there is an increased chance of problems. Reported by tim on 14 Feb 2008

Switch Upgrade Tests - 11:00 - 13:00 Bank Holiday Monday 28th May

Further to our switch upgrades on the 7th of May we will be running a series of tests to confirm that these upgrades have been successful. Reported by tim on 25 May 2007

Netconnex UPS Routine Testing - Thu 24/05/07 00:00 - 06:00

Layer 2 level switch being replaced today at 22:00 to 04:00. We are switching traffic to our back up link from 7:30pm and will reconnect the following morning. Reported by tim on 2 May 2007

TelecityRedbus Performing Transformer Upgrade - 08:00 - 18:00 from Monday 30th April to Friday
NOT service affecting
These essential works will upgrade the transformer that feeds levels 8&9, improving the quality and reliability of the data centre. During the works we will support the site with external generators as the primary feed whilst our on-site standby generators will act as our secondary supply. Reported by tim on 23 Apr 2007

Our internal switches will be enabled with Spanning Tree Protocol to improve redundancy inside our network. There maybe be downtime of a few minutes as each new link is connected. Reported by tim on 23 Apr 2007
