What is the difference between cloud hosting and VPS hosting?

Cloud hosting uses very high specification servers that use Intel quad core processors. It is a more expensive solution than a VPS but delivers dedicated resources rather than shared memory, disk space and processor time.

Is cloud hosting shared?

Each VM is allocated dedicated resources on the same hardware as other customers. It is impossible to oversell a cloud node.

Is it better to get a dedicated server rather than a cloud hosting account?

We find that few companies truly need a dedicated server and you can effectively enjoy all the benefits of a server including stability and flexibility without the high cost.

You can start with a VM on our own Cloud hardware and as your requirements grow we can migrate you over to your own dedicated server without any configuration changes.

If a Cloud Account starts at 1Gb of Memory - what can it scale to?

Each VM can be expanded up to 4GB of memory and 100GB of disk space. If further expansion is required your VM can be migrated to a dedicated server without any further web site configuration.
